thanks for the comment, but I've never used photshop, I don't have it.

the site was designed with the idea in mind that it load quickly and not take away from the content...so not so much attention was put into making it graphically fancy. i prefer simplicity and that's what i was going for when i did it. as it is, the site is over 50 meg and takes a bit to upkeep with having a monthly update...even when i use javascript, php, css, html and perl all to run the site.
